COFFEE ROASTERS
We source our coffee globally and ensure we conform to the Importers code of conduct. This means we have full origin traceability back to the farmers and cooperative unions.
Our coffee is roasted in an 'open flame' roaster from the 1950's, engineered and built in Britain. The 76kg cast iron bodied roaster uses a specially designed perforated drum with a central gas flame which gives our coffee a truly flame roasted, richer and fuller flavour. Our roasters are master craftsmen with decades of skills and knowledge behind them, located in the east of England, Tropic Coffee are renowned for their precision and attention to detail. The traditional, slower approach to the flame roasting allows for an even transfer of heat through the bean, resulting in a full bodied flavour and a richer, more enhanced aroma.
